Job Description

Position: Postdoctoral Associate
Location: University of New Mexico

We are seeking a postdoctoral associate with strong skills in molecular techniques, microbiology, and/or modeling for the study of microbial communities in biological wastewater treatment systems and possibly biofilms and development of agent-based models. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in environmental engineering, chemical engineering, or microbiology, but applicants with a strong background in agent-based or related modeling from other fields and an interest in biological systems will also be considered. The initial appointment will be for one year with an opportunity for at least one additional year. Funding for this project is provided by the National Science Foundation. The preferred start date is August 1, 2008, or earlier.
